Well First of all .......
I guess you have to be a person looking for part time work with a little better pay and a person who likes
to drive large vehicles and enjoys a challenge. Since the job is not year round and you are off for snow days, inservice
and holidays, it is really a job best suited for retired persons and stay at home mother's who need to take their kids to
work. If you are looking for health insurance and 401k's and such you should check with school systems that run their own
buses as opposed to independent contractors. I suggest that you also read on..........
All require the following :
Early mornings, most routes begin 6:30 -7 AM
At least a C.D.L. (Commercial Drivers License) with a PS endorsement ( Passenger and School Bus)
5 year clean driving record
F.B.I. background check NO FELONS ALLOWED
Air brake buses require a Class B license with air brake endorsement
Yearly physical and attend bus safety class ran by D.O.T.
LOVE KIDS AND HAVE A REAL DESIRE TO GET THEM TO AND FROM THEIR EDUCATION AS SAFELY AS POSSIBLE.
THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST IF YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE IT.
